ICCAPS LOGO

The International Coalition of Climate Action in Prevention Science (ICCAPS) is a global initiative established in 2020 to address climate change within prevention science and health promotion. Initially formed by members of the European Society for Prevention Research, the Society for Prevention Research, and the Brazilian Association for Research in Prevention and Health Promotion, ICCAPS is open to new members. The coalition aims to integrate research, practice, and policy to promote global health and well-being in the context of environmental change, with a focus on the disproportionate impact of climate effects on vulnerable communities. ICCAPS is committed to building international collaborations among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to promote climate action and understanding. The coalition's efforts are guided by seeking collaborations across interdisciplinary fields addressing climate issues and with community members and stakeholders of all ages to build sustainable strategies.
